Aiforia Technologies Plc has appointed Dr. Federico Sebastiani as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and a member of the executive team. In this role, Dr. Sebastiani will oversee Aiforia’s global commercial strategy, leading international sales, key partnership ecosystems, and market expansion across clinical diagnostics and preclinical research and development.
As pathology laboratories worldwide are rapidly transitioning from traditional microscopy to digital workflows, the demand for high-precision, AI-empowered diagnostic solutions is accelerating. The appointment of Dr. Sebastiani comes at a key milestone as Aiforia continues to expand its footprint and commercial adoption across key markets in Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Dr. Sebastiani joins Aiforia with more than 25 years of experience in the commercial life sciences and healthcare environments, spanning genomics, molecular diagnostics, oncology, and digital healthcare solutions. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Global Channels Sales and Vice President of Sales Strategy and Operations at SOPHiA GENETICS.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sebastiani has held senior leadership and commercial positions at global diagnostics and life science leaders, including Hamilton Bonaduz, Illumina, and Dako (Agilent Technologies). He holds a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Pavia and a degree in Biology from the University of Parma, combined with a strong track record of driving multi-region revenue growth, building high-performing sales teams, and executing strategic channel alliances.
