Role and Responsibilities

The Project Manager is the primary interface between the customer and the Aiforia science team. They will report to the Director of Applications. They are responsible for overseeing assigned AI model projects for Aiforia’s pre-clinical clients: from managing resources and deliverables to ensuring the successful completion of projects. We are looking for a results driven, self-starter with a scientific background to support us in our mission to transform image analysis with the power of AI.


  • Managing and actively participating in the pre-clinical AI model development projects (both internal development and service projects for customers)
  • Overseeing project scope and customer expectations, ensuring these are met
  • Ensuring customer success and customer support also after the project delivery
  • Being responsible for project planning, specifications, and timelines in collaboration with the project team
  • Coordinating personnel and resources to projects
  • Maintaining project documentation according to Aiforia’s Quality Management System  guidelines
  • Acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Aiforia’s AI training (model development) procedure


  • Scientific or biomedical education (M.Sc, B.Sc, B.Eng. in biomedical sciences or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Experience or knowledge of histology lab and/or tissue sample handling procedures
  • Fluent ICT skills and interest towards software and AI 
  • Exceptional communication, coordination and project management skills
  • Excellent teamwork capabilities
  • Fluent written and oral English skills, and preferably Finnish as well

In addition, any experience in the following areas will also be beneficial:

  • Customer service or other customer-facing roles 
  • Prior knowledge of digital pathology or medical imaging software applications
